Intro: I suppose this one could be referred to as a daydream, a vision, or perhaps a bit of astral travel. There’s not much I can say about it because even I’m not 100% certain how to describe what “took over” me when I wrote it… but I appreciate it for what it is and am proud to save it in my poetic archives.

“Microscopic Sands of Time”

Silver streams of lunar light
Glide like silken ribbons
Over shimmering indigo waters

Microscopic sands of time
Gather together in ritual
To form the sacred shore

Twinkling stars
Punctuate Heaven and Earth
With their playful winks and smiles

While dancing waves
Snap their fingers in rhythm
And wind whips up frenzied applause
