This card tells me I need to spend a bit more time in the wilderness – perhaps hug a few more trees, sing with the birds, and re-attune myself with Mother Earth and the natural elements.

Here’s what the book says:

Card Meaning: Spend time outdoors, among the flowers, plants, and trees. Nature has powerful gifts that she wants to share with you, including ideas, information, and healing energy.

Description: When you are disconnected from Mother Earth, you may feel depressed or lethargic without knowing why. Earth, too, feels distraught when you don’t connect with her on a regular basis. She needs you to be amidst her bbeauty so that she can telegraph information to you. In this way, you’ll know best how to care for your planet.

By drawing this card, you’re being urged to spend time daily (even as little as five minutes) outside in nature. Remove your shoes, socks, or nylons, and connect your bare feet with the soil, sod, or sand. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths as you’re surrounded by the magical energy of nature. Mentally ask the fairies to help you with any issues you may have. Then, open your eyes and look for their flitting light, which is the first sign that you’re seeing the fairies that surround you.

Affirmation: I love being outside in nature. I feel energized by the sunshine, fresh air, plants, and animals. I take excellent care of every living being, including myself.

This is a repeat card, one that has come up often for me and seems to tie in perfectly with today’s Tarot and my recent thinking patterns.  I also feel inclined to note that I re-took that Chakra Test this morning and learned that my third eye chakra is extremely over-active, as is my throat chakra (communication).  I’ve got a few books here on Chakra healing, cleansing, and balancing – that include physical exercises one can do to get things back in order.  Since exercise and physical health seem to be a theme for me at the moment, it’s probably a good idea to do some quiet meditating and some personal chakra work.

Here’s today’s Fairy Oracle:

Higher Consciousness

Higher Consciousness

Here’s what the guidebook says:

Card Meaning: You are receiving guidance from your true self, your higher consciousness, which is one with Divine universal wisdom. You are listening to love rather than fear.

Description: This card is a validation that your recent feelings, thoughts, dreams, and aspirations are coming from Spirit. You have been asking for Divine guidance, and your higher self has answered your prayers. Your spiritual path has helped you hear this voice because you’ve taken the time to listen. Perhaps you’ve begun a meditation or yoga practice, and this has helped you quiet your mind. Or maybe you’ve put your foot down to the Universe and have adamantly decided to improve your life.

Whichever route you’ve taken is working very well. Now, the fairies ask you to keep having conversations with your higher consciousness. This will involve carving out time away from noise and stress. You may need to take frequent nature walks, join a spiritual support group, or go on a retreat. By quieting your life and your mind, the voice of your higher consciousness becomes increasingly loud and clear. It guides you perfectly through all life areas.

Affirmation: I easily hear and understand the inner voice of Spirit.

Toxic energy, whether it comes from drugs, alcohol, poor diet, or negative influences, can seriously impact the way we think, feel, or function in daily life.  If drugs and alcohol are in use (which they are not in my current circumstance, with the exception of cigarettes), this card signifies a time to let go of those addictions so that life can be seen from a clear and straight perspective.  If drugs and/or alcohol are not in use, perhaps the diet needs a review – what is being consumed that may be unhealthy to the body?  And if the diet is in good order, one must reflect on what other influences in their life may be considered toxic, and begin eliminating those toxic energies. In order to move forward successfully, body, mind, and soul must be detoxified.

I’m probably being given a nudge here about smoking, which I’ve been considering quitting but have not yet committed to, and to my diet.  I only eat one meal a day, usually – and it most often comes from the restaurant where I work.  Not exactly what I’d call a healthy diet. I also consume entirely too much caffeine by way of coffee and Mountain Dew.

Coupling this card with this morning’s Tarot, Queen of Pentacles, it may be a good idea to think about growing some of my own foods and herbs in a garden.  I told my kids just last week that I wanted to start an indoor herb garden. Then again, I can also pin-pointedly mark certain external influences in my life who I’d consider to be “toxic energy”.

Here’s what the guidebook says:

Card Meaning: You are being guided to clean your body, environment, mind, and heart of toxins. God and the fairies will help you with this endeavor.

Card Description: It’s time to let go of toxins, within and around you. This card validates your inner guidance that has been telling you to let go of harmful habits. Go outside in nature, and call upon the fairies to surround you. Ask God and the fairies to help you release toxins from your mind, body, and heart. Ask them to help you release your cravings for harmful habits.

You’ll soon find yourself naturally desiring organic fresh food and produce. You’ll be guided to read ingredient labels of all foods, beverages, and toiletry items, and you’ll only want to use natural products. You’ll be guided away from environmental toxins. And, most important, your thoughts and emotions will veer away from judgment and fear, and will become love-based instead.

Affirmation: I take excellent care of my body, and I crave only healthful foods and beverages.

Ouch… This one instinctively punched me in the chest and brought tears to my eyes.  But why?  Have I lost hope for my own happiness? *sigh*  Surely not. *Even heavier sigh*. Like The Hermit, this is her first appearance here on The Road Home.

When a fairy appears inverted, it means she’s really, really trying to get your attention.  She’s lighting herself up, flapping her wings, and tugging at your shirt-sleeve.

I’m going straight to the guidebook with this one:

Card Meaning: A happy outcome is assured. Release any anxiety, and feel secure that everything is resolved in the end.

Card Description: This is a reassuring card signaling that the “movie” you are currently starring in has a very happy ending. Situations that appear sticky are miraculously resolved. Misunderstandings are forgiven. Mistakes are forgotten.

You are urged to stop worrying about the future, as your fears could be self-fulfilling in a negative way. You could literally sabotage heaven’s happy plan for you if your worries are excessive. So, go outside in nature, and ask the fairies to help you rejoice in the perfection of Creation. Your joy renews your faith, and ensures the happy outcome that is in store for you.

Affirmation: Everything is in Divine and perfect order, right now.

Well, since the blog didn’t end up getting deleted, which I now know was because the “confirm” email was sent to an alternate email address I’ve not checked in eons — and since the blog has been left mostly unattended, I decided I’d spend a bit of time and energy getting her back in shape today.

Based on viewer/friend feedback, I have separated the Daily Dose categories.  The Daily Dose category now only holds posts with the full daily correspondences, as opposed to duplicating each tarot card and fairy oracle.  I’ve created individual categories for the Tarot Card of the Day and the Fairy Oracle of the day, and have also added two new features – Animal Medicine Cards, and Tao cards.

Because my “faerie tales” articles were buried beneath months of Fairy Oracle daily draws, and because I intend to write about more than just faeries, I have re-named that category, calling it Otherworldly Enchantments, and have moved the articles here, separating them from the Fairy Oracle card posts.

In going through my archives, I noticed that when I began the Daily Dose posts, I often titled the posts, “Daily Dose: Today’s Tarot” and included the date, but did NOT include the title of the card.  The same was true with the Fairy Oracles.  So, I’ve gone back and edited the titles of all of the posts in the Tarot Card and Fairy Oracle categories so that the title reflects the card drawn.  This makes it easier for seeking out specific cards, and in tracking patterns or repeat cards.

I’ve revised, retitled, and moved the “About” page.  It’s now called the “Welcome” page. This includes a brief introduction and a full tour of Autumn Sunrise: The Road Home.

I’ve removed the animal totems from the bottom of the sidebar.  While they served a purpose for me, they were confusing to others and took up un-necessary space.  I’ve still got a full post on my personal totems and what they mean tucked within the Know Thyself and Animagick categories.

I’ve added a “Divination” category to house my writings on tarot, runes, palmistry, numerology, and other divination subjects.  The content in this category is limited as of yet, but I intend on adding to it in the near future.

It felt good to give the blog a little love today.  Now, having had a long nap and a big bowl of macaroni and cheese, it’s time for me to finish my traffic school course.

Life is good.

Right on time, old Friend! *laughs*

This card is not new to me in the least.  She’s come up several times here in the Daily Dose, which can be common… for a certain card to keep resurfacing for a person until its message/meaning has been fully understood and applied.

This card also ties in well with this morning’s draw of the Chariot, and working the two cards together could indicate that it’s time to gain control of the financial situation – and to move forward with confidence that my needs will be met, even if I can’t logically figure out how those needs are going to be met.  What have I written about this week so far, not counting emotional/romantic situations? Spending a butt-load of money at the vet on my dogs – something that’s long overdue and badly needed.  I’ve also written about the condition of the Jeep and my inability to afford getting the work done that she needs – new tires, tune up, and a solution to her coughing problem.  I’ve also been writing about the business – and how/where to get the funds needed to launch it properly and successfully without taking out loans.  It’s not that I’m opposed to taking out loans, but I’m still in the phases of taking control of my gross credit report and retoring it to good standing.

Furthermore, September was the start of a new financial management system for me, using an iphone application to create budgets and track spending as well as recording income.  I used a similar system last year and did quite well with it, then fell out of the habit when finances hit rock bottom to the point that there was nothing to manage (and no food in the cupboards), and I kicked back into survival mode.  September, I installed a new program, one that’s integrated into the phone as opposed to being web-based, and I’m doing rather well with it, even though I’m still in survival mode.  Things at work have been bad… and if they don’t change for the better – and soon – then I’m going to have to seriously consider changing jobs.  I only made $45 on Sunday (a fourteen hour day), and only brought in 25 yesterday.  I can’t survive on that.  That barely covers the gas to get to work, nevermind paying bills and providing food!

It should also be noted that yesterday’s Tarot Card, the 8 of Wands, referred to a possible inheritence of some kind, or an increase monetarily.

So yes, this card’s energy is well received today, and perfectly coupled with the Chariot.  Here’s what the guidebook says:

Financial Flow

Financial Flow

Card Meaning: You have manifested a new sense of abundance in your life. Any financial blocks have successfully been removed, and you are now in the flow of increased prosperity. Congratulations!

Description: Your finances are moving up to a new level. You have been praying for increased flow and have been visualizing greater wealth. Your positive thoughts and desires have resulted in a rich vein of abundance coming your way. This good fortune not only applies to money, but also to increased opportunities in your personal and professional life.

The fairies, who are supreme experts in manifestation, advise you to keep a positive and joyful heart as you experience your wonderful new state. Continually affirm, “I graciously accept good into my life right now” and “I deserve abundance”. If you find that this financial flow ever becomes interrupted, ask the fairies to help you adjust your thoughts and emotions so you can graciously and willingly accept all the gifts that you so richly deserve.

Affirmation: I am financially secure. I am supported abundantly today, and every day in my future.

Ha! A Jumper, and one that’s none too surprising!  A jumper is a card that seemingly “flies” out of the deck during a shuffle.  Whenever a card jumps out of the deck, it’s telling you its energies and messages are extremely potent in the here and now, and that they demand attention.

This one, I believe, applies directly to my thoughts on business, on my personal evolution towards manifesting dreams.  My “vision” of owning my own magick shoppe and becoming the “me” I see inside my own head as opposed to the “me” that is struggling to survive in the current reality.

And this card is no stranger to me.  She showed up back to back in August, two days in a row – once inverted, the second day upright.

I’ve pulled up the original post and find value for myself in what I wrote, so I’m repeating it here:

Visualization

Visualization

This is a familiar card, and I smile when I see her. She reminds us of the importance of daydreaming, fantasizing about what we want, allowing our mind to project images of the future we desire. If you can see something in the mind’s eye, you can manifest it and make it a reality.

It reminds me of a situation with Rhythm years ago, when he was around six or so. Back then, he was taking gymnastics and was an absolute natural at almost everything he did. He’s got a flexible, wiery frame and a tiggery bounce to him that gave him an edge in the sport. However, when it came time to learn how to do a round-off, he was stumped and kept falling. No matter how many times he’d try to do the trick, he’d flub it up and end up falling down. At one point, I called him over to me and had him close his eyes. As his eyes were closed, I instructed him: “See yourself standing at the edge of the mat, preparing yourself to perform the round-off. See yourself running down the mat. See yourself set the cartwheel in motion, and see yourself flip that cartwheel in the air. See yourself land on both feet, solid, and see yourself raise your arms in accomplishment. Watch it in your mind. Can you see it?”

I watched the boy’s eyelids flutter as he imagined what he looked like doing the trick successfully. When he opened his eyes and smiled, I said, “Now go do it just like you saw it in your mind.”

Sure enough, he mastered the trick on his next attempt.

This is a classic example of how visualization can cause creation.

This card is reminding me to see my own future the way I want it to manifest. It encourages me to daydream about the magick shoppe, about happy relationships, about financial well being, and success in all of its forms. The more time I spend visualizing that, the closer it becomes to being reality.

Here’s what the guidebook says:

Card Meaning: Your clairvoyance, your dreams, and the pictures in your mind’s eye are becoming more clear and powerful. This card asks you to trust and to develop your visual skills, and to use them in conscious manifestation.

Card Description: The fairies know the power of conscious visualization as a tool of manifestation. By drawing this card, you are guided to sit quietly on a daily basis and to visualize yourself living a healthy, happy, abundant, and meaningful life. Visualize only what you desire, and avoid picturing that which you do not desire.

You have powerful visual skills, even if you’re unaware of them. Affirm daily, “I am a highly visual person.” Any blocks that you have about clairvoyance will begin to lift. Know that it is safe for you to see the future, the spirit world, and the truth about your life. By relasing any fears about “seeing,” your visualization powers will be greatly magnified.

Affirmation: It is safe for me to see. I am a very visual person.
