Posts Tagged ‘faeries’

Well, since the blog didn’t end up getting deleted, which I now know was because the “confirm” email was sent to an alternate email address I’ve not checked in eons — and since the blog has been left mostly unattended, I decided I’d spend a bit of time and energy getting her back in shape today.

Based on viewer/friend feedback, I have separated the Daily Dose categories.  The Daily Dose category now only holds posts with the full daily correspondences, as opposed to duplicating each tarot card and fairy oracle.  I’ve created individual categories for the Tarot Card of the Day and the Fairy Oracle of the day, and have also added two new features – Animal Medicine Cards, and Tao cards.

Because my “faerie tales” articles were buried beneath months of Fairy Oracle daily draws, and because I intend to write about more than just faeries, I have re-named that category, calling it Otherworldly Enchantments, and have moved the articles here, separating them from the Fairy Oracle card posts.

In going through my archives, I noticed that when I began the Daily Dose posts, I often titled the posts, “Daily Dose: Today’s Tarot” and included the date, but did NOT include the title of the card.  The same was true with the Fairy Oracles.  So, I’ve gone back and edited the titles of all of the posts in the Tarot Card and Fairy Oracle categories so that the title reflects the card drawn.  This makes it easier for seeking out specific cards, and in tracking patterns or repeat cards.

I’ve revised, retitled, and moved the “About” page.  It’s now called the “Welcome” page. This includes a brief introduction and a full tour of Autumn Sunrise: The Road Home.

I’ve removed the animal totems from the bottom of the sidebar.  While they served a purpose for me, they were confusing to others and took up un-necessary space.  I’ve still got a full post on my personal totems and what they mean tucked within the Know Thyself and Animagick categories.

I’ve added a “Divination” category to house my writings on tarot, runes, palmistry, numerology, and other divination subjects.  The content in this category is limited as of yet, but I intend on adding to it in the near future.

It felt good to give the blog a little love today.  Now, having had a long nap and a big bowl of macaroni and cheese, it’s time for me to finish my traffic school course.

Life is good.

Right on time, old Friend! *laughs*

This card is not new to me in the least.  She’s come up several times here in the Daily Dose, which can be common… for a certain card to keep resurfacing for a person until its message/meaning has been fully understood and applied.

This card also ties in well with this morning’s draw of the Chariot, and working the two cards together could indicate that it’s time to gain control of the financial situation – and to move forward with confidence that my needs will be met, even if I can’t logically figure out how those needs are going to be met.  What have I written about this week so far, not counting emotional/romantic situations? Spending a butt-load of money at the vet on my dogs – something that’s long overdue and badly needed.  I’ve also written about the condition of the Jeep and my inability to afford getting the work done that she needs – new tires, tune up, and a solution to her coughing problem.  I’ve also been writing about the business – and how/where to get the funds needed to launch it properly and successfully without taking out loans.  It’s not that I’m opposed to taking out loans, but I’m still in the phases of taking control of my gross credit report and retoring it to good standing.

Furthermore, September was the start of a new financial management system for me, using an iphone application to create budgets and track spending as well as recording income.  I used a similar system last year and did quite well with it, then fell out of the habit when finances hit rock bottom to the point that there was nothing to manage (and no food in the cupboards), and I kicked back into survival mode.  September, I installed a new program, one that’s integrated into the phone as opposed to being web-based, and I’m doing rather well with it, even though I’m still in survival mode.  Things at work have been bad… and if they don’t change for the better – and soon – then I’m going to have to seriously consider changing jobs.  I only made $45 on Sunday (a fourteen hour day), and only brought in 25 yesterday.  I can’t survive on that.  That barely covers the gas to get to work, nevermind paying bills and providing food!

It should also be noted that yesterday’s Tarot Card, the 8 of Wands, referred to a possible inheritence of some kind, or an increase monetarily.

So yes, this card’s energy is well received today, and perfectly coupled with the Chariot.  Here’s what the guidebook says:

Financial Flow

Financial Flow

Card Meaning: You have manifested a new sense of abundance in your life. Any financial blocks have successfully been removed, and you are now in the flow of increased prosperity. Congratulations!

Description: Your finances are moving up to a new level. You have been praying for increased flow and have been visualizing greater wealth. Your positive thoughts and desires have resulted in a rich vein of abundance coming your way. This good fortune not only applies to money, but also to increased opportunities in your personal and professional life.

The fairies, who are supreme experts in manifestation, advise you to keep a positive and joyful heart as you experience your wonderful new state. Continually affirm, “I graciously accept good into my life right now” and “I deserve abundance”. If you find that this financial flow ever becomes interrupted, ask the fairies to help you adjust your thoughts and emotions so you can graciously and willingly accept all the gifts that you so richly deserve.

Affirmation: I am financially secure. I am supported abundantly today, and every day in my future.

Ha! A Jumper, and one that’s none too surprising!  A jumper is a card that seemingly “flies” out of the deck during a shuffle.  Whenever a card jumps out of the deck, it’s telling you its energies and messages are extremely potent in the here and now, and that they demand attention.

This one, I believe, applies directly to my thoughts on business, on my personal evolution towards manifesting dreams.  My “vision” of owning my own magick shoppe and becoming the “me” I see inside my own head as opposed to the “me” that is struggling to survive in the current reality.

And this card is no stranger to me.  She showed up back to back in August, two days in a row – once inverted, the second day upright.

I’ve pulled up the original post and find value for myself in what I wrote, so I’m repeating it here:

Visualization

Visualization

This is a familiar card, and I smile when I see her. She reminds us of the importance of daydreaming, fantasizing about what we want, allowing our mind to project images of the future we desire. If you can see something in the mind’s eye, you can manifest it and make it a reality.

It reminds me of a situation with Rhythm years ago, when he was around six or so. Back then, he was taking gymnastics and was an absolute natural at almost everything he did. He’s got a flexible, wiery frame and a tiggery bounce to him that gave him an edge in the sport. However, when it came time to learn how to do a round-off, he was stumped and kept falling. No matter how many times he’d try to do the trick, he’d flub it up and end up falling down. At one point, I called him over to me and had him close his eyes. As his eyes were closed, I instructed him: “See yourself standing at the edge of the mat, preparing yourself to perform the round-off. See yourself running down the mat. See yourself set the cartwheel in motion, and see yourself flip that cartwheel in the air. See yourself land on both feet, solid, and see yourself raise your arms in accomplishment. Watch it in your mind. Can you see it?”

I watched the boy’s eyelids flutter as he imagined what he looked like doing the trick successfully. When he opened his eyes and smiled, I said, “Now go do it just like you saw it in your mind.”

Sure enough, he mastered the trick on his next attempt.

This is a classic example of how visualization can cause creation.

This card is reminding me to see my own future the way I want it to manifest. It encourages me to daydream about the magick shoppe, about happy relationships, about financial well being, and success in all of its forms. The more time I spend visualizing that, the closer it becomes to being reality.

Here’s what the guidebook says:

Card Meaning: Your clairvoyance, your dreams, and the pictures in your mind’s eye are becoming more clear and powerful. This card asks you to trust and to develop your visual skills, and to use them in conscious manifestation.

Card Description: The fairies know the power of conscious visualization as a tool of manifestation. By drawing this card, you are guided to sit quietly on a daily basis and to visualize yourself living a healthy, happy, abundant, and meaningful life. Visualize only what you desire, and avoid picturing that which you do not desire.

You have powerful visual skills, even if you’re unaware of them. Affirm daily, “I am a highly visual person.” Any blocks that you have about clairvoyance will begin to lift. Know that it is safe for you to see the future, the spirit world, and the truth about your life. By relasing any fears about “seeing,” your visualization powers will be greatly magnified.

Affirmation: It is safe for me to see. I am a very visual person.

Positive Expectations

Positive Expectations

I’ve noticed I’ve been having a “Ha!” or a “grunt” reaction to the fairies lately.  I shuffle, I cut, I flip, and when I see the card, I make a verbal sound.  They must be hard-hitting these days. *giggles*

Indeed, I understand exactly why I drew this card reversed this morning.  I’m just emerging from this mini-depression I was in (oh, Wendi, remember the Wheel of Fortune card from July??).

I had been all excited and anticipating a move, then I found out I’m stuck right where I am. I was just starting to get to a semi-secure place financially when I hurt myself and got set back ten paces by missing a week’s worth of work.  I was just getting comfortable with the T situation when life took over and kept us both busy and distant.  I was just getting comfortable with the healing my daughter and I were doing, then she started high school and ended up right back with the influences that sparked the trauma and drama of last year.  I was just getting nestled into my blog when I realized it can’t host Google Adsense, Amazon affiliations, or other code I was hoping to use to begin converting the blog to incorporate the beginnings of a store – and wondered if I need to scrap the whole thing and start over.  Everything I felt confident about suddenly slipped out of my reach and I spiraled into this dark pit of fear, insecurity, doubt, failure, and self-depreciating tendencies.  That’s why this card shows up reversed.

She makes me eat my own quote, “Believe good things; what you believe becomes.”

She reminds me not to lose hope, not to expect the worst – because if I do, that’s what I’ll create.  She encourages me to remain positive, to continue to dream, to hold onto faith because, as cliche’ as it sounds, this too shall pass.

Here’s what the book says:

Card Meaning: Keep up your hopes, dreams, affirmations, visualizations, and prayers, as they will be wonderfully manifested right now. Don’t quit five minutes before the miracle occurs!

Description: You’ve planted the seeds of manifestation with your positive thoughts and emotions. Yet, you may be discouraged occasionally because you aren’t seeing immediate results. You start to have pessimistic thoughts and wonder whether your faith is unjustified. Hold on to your faith, though! Although your manifestation is taking longer than you’d hoped, it is coming to you. You certainly don’t want to cancel or cloud your manifestation with miscreations that come from negative thoughts.

At your earliest convenience, go outside in nature — even a backyard or small park will do. Mentally converse with your friends, the fairies. They are absolute experts at manifestation! Tell them about your doubts, fears, and disappointments, as well as your hopes and dreams. Ask the fairies to help you release any negativity you may have, and feel them surround you with healing love and light.

Affirmation: I am safe, confident, and secure. I feel joyful about my future.

Making New Friends

Making New Friends

This card strikes me as odd for today.  I’ve never been one to have “friends” in the traditional sense.  Why? Quite honestly, it’s because I suck at being a friend.

I think too many people use the word “friend” too loosely.  There’s a difference between a “friend” and an acquaintance.  There’s a difference between a “friend” and someone online with whom you “connect”.  There’s a difference between “friend” and someone you get along with.  Friend has a much deeper meaning, an energy similar to “family”.

I’m not good at making phone calls, being available, “checking in”, I don’t go out, I don’t “do things”. I don’t go to movies, don’t “do lunch”, don’t go shopping.  My life is here, with my children, my dogs, at work, with T. Don’t get me wrong, there are people I appreciate.  There are my favorite co-workers that consider us “friends”, but it’s really much more like a wonderful acquaintance and a comfortable familiarity.  There are those people I”ve known for years – we speak every now and again, play catch up, have deep philosophical conversations — but the interaction is rare, the chats are few and far between, and the visits are nearly non existent.

I’ve also been burned badly enough in the past, and often enough, that I have a few trust issues. I won’t lie.

My first “best friend” of adult life made a bad, bad choice – one that had severe consequences that changed the course of her life, my life, and the lives of those we love. The loss of my son is connected to that event, and I’m not sure if I ever truly forgave her or myself for the situation that took place.

I had one friend in whom I confided everything – the good, bad, and the ugly. I shared my celebrations and my fears – as well as being available for her to share hers.  I made several road trips to visit her, several road trips with her to visit other places, and our kids enjoyed interacting with each other on those occasions.  Then one day, she read something in a blog that she completely misunderstood – and without even asking me what was meant by it, or asking the person who made the comment in the first place, she went on an all out attack and aired my private issues in a public forum to be read by all…. and she posted the tainted version with the intent to cause me harm.  That was the last “friend” I had — no thank you. And as for what I once considered my best and truest friend? All lies… it turns out I never really knew that person at all… and I won’t even go there. Yes, I have trust issues.

Also, when I saw this card this morning, my first reaction was to connect it to last night’s bizarre event… and I can’t really go into detail about that right now.

So, I’m perplexed by this card.  I don’t want to make friends, don’t want to be a friend (nevermind the irony of my own name!)…. I’m happy living my secluded life, sharing what resources and energy I have with my kids, my pets, and T.

And the card is inverted, which, in the fairy-realm, means the card is really demanding my attention. It’s an “urgency” when a fairy is reversed.

Here’s what the book says:

Card Meaning: Your circle of friends and acquaintances is shifting to a higher frequency. Old friends may part ways, and new people are entering your life.

Description: Your changing intersts and priorities have made a ripple effect throughout your entire life. As your thoughts and emotions center on more spiritually natured topics, you are now attracting like-minded people into your life. You may find that you aren’t as drawn to your old friends, or that you don’t share as many common interests.

The fairies ask you not to worry about these natural shifts in your life. You aren’t rejecting or judging your old friends. You’re just making room for growth, and acknowledging the Universal Law of Attraction: People who are like-minded are naturally drawn to one another. Know that you deserve wonderful friends who inspire, support, understand, and complement you.

Affirmation: I am grateful for my wonderfully supportive and loving friends.

Family Harmony

Family Harmony

I drew this card previously on June 23, 2008.

Well, isn’t she right on time?  Just yesterday I wrote a short post about how it was time to go get my daughter – and, at last, have my children home.  Rhythm left first – and before he returned, Stinkerbelle left.  Rhythm came home while Stinkerbelle was still away – and, as of yesterday at 10:45 a.m., we were all reunited.

We talked about the relief we feel in knowing our long term potential.  No longer focusing on a move, we’re now focused on how to turn our house into a home we can all be proud of and comfortable in.  We talked about the new school year starting and what the goals and intentions are socially and academically this year. We went to lunch together after leaving the airport – and, as we do when we three are turned loose in the world unchaperoned, we laughed ourselves to tears and drew attention to ourselves.  Nothing is more fun than an all out giggle fit in a public place with those you love most!

Ran a few errands after lunch, including a trip to a pawn shop to put a set of drums on layaway for Rhythm – a set of drums that matches the guitar T and I surprised him with Friday night.  On the way home from that errand, we talked about how to make Stinkerbelle’s dream of owning horses a reality.  We have the land for it… we just need to build fencing, a stable, and work out the vet/ferrier/feeding details.  I’m going to sell my mom the piece of property she’s on, and can use the funds from that to have things set up for Stinkerbelle’s horse.

When we got home, Stinkerbelle set to unpacking and cleaning her room, Rhythm spent some creative time bonding with his new guitar, and I took a much needed nap.  Though I’d had every intention of doing one more tarot reading yesterday afternoon via email, my personal energy was drained.  As much as I’ve hated postponing, I’ve made peace with myself in deciding I’d do that reading on Tuesday, my next day off.  After my nap, the kids and I found our comfy spots in the living room together and watched Enchanted, a movie with which I was completely tickled.  Loved it!

I also had a few issues regarding my mother yesterday.  There are advantages to having her as my neighbor, but there are times when certain lines are crossed – and I have to find a way to tell her that without upsetting her.  Before we’d even gotten back to Bowling Green from the airport in Nashville, my mother rang Stinkerbelle’s cell phone to ask if Stinkerbelle would go over to her house to color her hair as soon as we got home.  Stinkerbelle agreed and hung up, and I lost my temper.  I cried, really – not of sadness, but of anger and frustration.  I hadn’t seen my daughter in three weeks – she hasn’t even unpacked her clothes, and my mother had no idea whether or not I’d had anything planned – and without asking me first, she just assumed she could take my daughter.  We’ve had that discussion before.  Mom likes to take Stinkerbelle every Saturday to go run errands.  Mom doesn’t like to be alone.  But, Saturdays are the only day off I have of the weekend when there’s no school and I can spend the day with the kids.  I don’t want Stinkerbelle gone every Saturday.  I discussed it with my mom, she respected it for about two Saturdays, then everything went back to the way it was… plans were made without ever consulting me.  I’m going to have to put my foot down if I want to stabilize my own family.  My mom needs to understand that this is my daughter, not her best friend.

So, here’s what the guidebook says:

Card Meaning: Your relationships with family members are healing. As you hold loving thoughts and feelings about the souls involved (including yourself), you experience genuine harmony in your family.

Description: Every person in your life is affected by your beliefs and expectations, including your family members. By drawing this card, you are counseled to hold positive and loving thoughts about anyone who seems to have irritated or hurt you. The more loving energy you send to each person, the more love will be redirected back to you.

Have patience — you are beginning to feel a great healing occurring in your family relationships. The fairies ask you to think of three reasons why you are grateful for each member of your family. If one person seems to particularly frustrate you, think of five reasons why that person is worthy of love. Send blessings and prayers to that person, and your relationship will show immediate signs of improvement.

Affirmation: I see the goodness within each member of my family. My family life is harmonious and filled with love and joy.
